"Connecting Cultures: A Blend of Islamic and Local Architecture"

This multi-use center was originally two separate buildings that were then connected to form one structure. The first, L-shaped building, was over 100 years old and built out of the traditional red brick of the region. The second rectilinear building was more modern in nature. The design of the center consisted of three masses rounding an inner court, balancing Islamic architecture with the existing architecture of the region. It contained an event hall, a traditional Souq, commercial spaces, co-working spaces, community spaces, and a central prayer space in its inner courtyard with a retractable ceiling.
