Design Immersion Experience Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are tailored for professionals and students in architecture and related fields who are participating in our Design Immersion Experiences. The guidelines herein are intended to ensure a comprehensive educational experience that aligns with the professional standards and architectural insights offered by Sami Angawi Architects. By registering for a visit, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to these conditions. Please read them carefully to understand the rights and obligations.

1. General Definitions
 

In these terms and conditions the following definitions apply:

​

1.1     Sami Angawi Architects (SAA): Sami Angawi Architects, formerly Amar AlAnga for Engineering Consultancy, is the architecture firm hosting the tours of ‘Dar Al-Makkiyah’ as an educational demonstration of their design philosophy.    

​

1.2    Al-Makkiyah: The areas open to the tour in ‘Dar Al-Makkiyah’, with the supervision of the Design Interpreter. 

​

1.3    Visitor: anyone, upon invitation or with a valid admissions, entering ‘Dar Al-Makkiyah’ for a visit/tour, or a participant upon invite in an activity within or outside the arranged tours at ‘Dar Al-Makkiyah’.

​

1.4    Access Pass: An Access Pass grants a visitor entry to the designated areas within 'Dar Al-Makkiyah' during specified hours for educational purposes. This pass may be issued in a digital format displayed on a smartphone or as a printed document.

1.5    Al-Makkiayh Official(s): all persons working in and around the Al-Makkiayh Building by order of Sami Angawi Architects.

1.6    Design Interpreter: A Design Interpreter at 'Dar Al-Makkiyah' is a knowledgeable professional assigned by Sami Angawi Architects to facilitate educational visits, offering insightful interpretations of our architectural philosophy and guiding visitors through the practical applications of the Al-Mizan design principles within 'Dar Al-Makkiyah'.

1.7    Group Representative: The designated individual responsible for organizing the visit to Dar Al-Makkiyah. This person acts as the primary contact and is accountable for ensuring that all members of their group adhere to the property's policies and regulations throughout their visit.

2. Applicability

​

2.1    These terms and conditions apply to all individuals and groups visiting 'Dar Al-Makkiyah'. They are designed to ensure that every visitor understands and adheres to the guidelines established to maintain the integrity of the educational experience and the preservation of the premises.

​

2.2    These terms and conditions extend to special sessions, including those conducted outside regular operational hours or tailored for participants not typically part of our regular visitation schedule, such as exclusive professional workshops or educational events.

3. Dar Al-Makkiyah Access
 

3.1     Access Authorization: Entry to Al-Makkiyah is permitted only upon presentation of a valid Access Pass or Designated Entry Document. This regulation ensures our visits are beneficial and structured for professionals, students, and enthusiasts within the fields of architecture and design.

3.2    Professional and Educational Credentials: All participants, whether they are students or professionals, must present relevant identification along with their Access Pass. Failure to present appropriate credentials will result in denial of access, maintaining the integrity of our specialized programs.

​

3.3    Pricing Flexibility: Sami Angawi Architects reserves the right to adjust participation fees in response to varying operational demands and market conditions to support the ongoing delivery of high-quality, professional experiences.

3.4    Non-Transferable Access: The resale or redistribution of Access Passes without prior approval from Sami Angawi Architects is strictly prohibited. This ensures that all engagements are conducted with participants who have directly registered through our approved processes.

​

3.5    Non-refundable Passes: Access Passes are non-refundable if lost or stolen. We encourage all participants to safeguard their passes to avoid inconvenience.        

​

3.6    Pass Validity: Access Passes are considered valid up to the expiration of the date and time stated on the pass. Expired passes cannot be used for entry, and refunds are not provided for such instances.

​

3.7    Security Compliance: Participants are expected to comply with security checks. Non-compliance can lead to denial of access, reinforcing our commitment to a secure and conducive learning and professional environment.

3.8    Conduct and Admittance: Entry may be restricted or denied for the following reasons:

a. Disruptive behavior that interferes with the professional or educational focus of the visit.

b. Inappropriate attire that does not meet the specified dress code.

c. Non-adherence to the established codes of conduct or operational rules.

3.9    Direct Booking Requirement: Bookings must be made directly through Sami Angawi Architects, avoiding third-party agencies to ensure accurate communication of our terms and full understanding of the visit's structured nature.

​

3.10   Special Accessibility Needs: We acknowledge the unique architectural features of Al-Makkiyah and encourage those with specific physical accessibility needs to contact us in advance. We strive to accommodate all visitors and provide a meaningful experience tailored to their needs.

​

3.11   Official Booking and Communication Channels: All sessions and activities at 'Dar Al-Makkiyah' can only be booked through the official Sami Angawi Architects channels: our website (www.samiangawiarchitects.net), email (contact@samiangawiarchitects.net), and WhatsApp Business (+966 51 047 0108). We do not offer any other method for booking or communication, and we are not responsible for any bookings or inquiries made through third-party or other means.

4. Visit to Dar Al-Makkiyah
 

4.1     Responsibility and Risk: All visits to Dar Al-Makkiyah are undertaken at the visitor's own expense and risk. Visitors are expected to act responsibly and considerately at all times within the premises.

4.2    Liability for Damages: Visitors are legally responsible for any damage they cause during their visit. It is expected that all attendees treat the property with the utmost respect and caution, reflecting the professional nature of their visit. 

​

4.3    Age Restrictions: To ensure the tours remain highly professional and focused, individuals under the age of 18 are not generally permitted. Exceptions may be made if arrangements are made in advance, particularly for educational purposes where their participation is relevant to their studies or interests to maintain the seriousness and professional nature of the experience.

4.4    Access Denial for Past Misconduct: Sami Angawi Architects maintains the right to refuse entry, temporarily or permanently, to any individual who has previously caused damage to the property, whether through negligence or intentional misconduct. This policy ensures the preservation of Dar Al-Makkiyah's integrity and the safety of all visitors and exhibits.

5. Code of Conduct
 

5.1     Professional Decorum: All visitors to Dar Al-Makkiyah are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional behavior, which includes:

a. Non-Commerciality: Refraining from offering or selling any goods to other visitors, either for profit or free of charge.

b. Respect for Experience: Ensuring that their actions do not obstruct the view or disrupt the experience of other visitors through excessive noise or other disturbances.

c. No Animals: Not bringing animals or pets into Dar Al-Makkiyah.

d. No Smoking: Adhering to a strict no-smoking policy throughout the property.

e. Dining Restrictions: Visitors are not allowed to bring outside food or beverages. Basic hospitality options will be provided by Dar Al-Makkiyah to enhance the visitor experience. Specific guidelines for events and the details of the provided hospitality will be communicated as necessary by Dar Al-Makkiyah Officials.

f. Respect for Property: Avoiding contact with any objects or architectural features not explicitly marked as interactive. Supervisors must ensure that minors and their groups adhere to this rule diligently.

g. Controlled Photography: Only taking photographs in areas designated by Al-Makkiyah Officials and using such photographs solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

h. No Video and/or Audio Recording: Recording video or audio within Dar Al-Makkiyah is strictly prohibited unless prior authorization has been granted in writing by Sami Angawi Architects. This policy helps maintain the privacy and integrity of the educational sessions and the architectural space.

i. Appropriate Attire: Dressing respectfully and modestly, as inappropriate attire may lead to refusal of entry.

j. Following the Design Interpreter: Adhering to the guidance and instructions provided by the Design Interpreter at all times to ensure a structured and informative visit.

5.2   Supervisory Responsibility: Educators and Group Representatives are directly responsible for the behavior of their groups at all times during the visit, ensuring they comply with all regulations.

​

5.3   Use of Media: Any photographs or videos taken within Dar Al-Makkiyah are not to be used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Sami Angawi Architects. Fees and specific guidelines will apply under such agreements.

​

5.4   Intellectual Property Rights: Visitors acknowledge that all information, materials, and designs they are exposed to during their visit are proprietary to Sami Angawi Architects and are protected under intellectual property. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any materials, including photographs, designs, or verbal information provided during the tours, is strictly prohibited. This ensures the preservation and integrity of our unique architectural innovations and practices.

6. Payment and Refund Policy

6.1     Payment Process; At Sami Angawi Architects, we currently do not offer online payment options. All payments must be made via bank transfer to the provided bank account details at checkout. Payments are required to be completed within 6 hours of booking to confirm the session. Failure to complete the transaction within this timeframe may result in automatic cancellation of the session.

Additionally, for any bookings made less than 3 days prior to the session, Sami Angawi Architects reserves the right to reschedule the session based on availability and operational demands.

6.2    Official Payment Channels: All payments must be processed through the bank account details provided at checkout. We do not accept payments through third-party platforms or other methods.

​​

6.3    Refund Policy: Sami Angawi Architects does not provide refunds for unused Access Passes. This policy also extends to all associated transaction fees or other related expenses. No refunds or compensation will be given under circumstances that modify the planned visit, including but not limited to changes in access, operational hours, scheduled or emergency maintenance, or other external factors affecting operations.

6.4    Rescheduling: In certain situations, Sami Angawi Architects may offer the opportunity to reschedule visits instead of issuing refunds. This flexibility aims to accommodate visitors when unforeseen circumstances arise that affect scheduled sessions.

7. Responsibility/Liability
 

7.1     Visitor Accountability: All visits to Dar Al-Makkiyah occur at the visitor's own risk. Visitors are fully accountable for any damages they may cause to the property or themselves, whether these damages are anticipated or unexpected. This accountability underscores the expectation of professionalism and care during visits.

7.2    Architectural Firm's Limitation of Liability: Sami Angawi Architects is not responsible for indirect damages incurred by visitors. Our liability is strictly limited to providing a structured and educational experience as per the standards outlined in the visit terms.

​

7.3   Force Majeure: Sami Angawi Architects cannot be held responsible or liable for any failure or delay in performance of obligations resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events. In the case of such events, Sami Angawi Architects reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any sessions, with participants being notified as soon as possible.

8. Visitor Communications

8.1     Purpose: This section is designed to facilitate all forms of communication from visitors, including feedback, comments, and special requests prior to or following a visit.

​

8.2    How to Communicate: Visitors are encouraged to send their inquiries, feedback, comments, and special requests via email to contact@samiangawiarchitects.net or through WhatsApp Business at +966 51 047 0108. This ensures that all communications are centrally managed and efficiently addressed.

​

8.3    Processing and Response: Sami Angawi Architects commits to reviewing and responding to each communication swiftly and professionally. Responses will be provided within 5 working days to ensure timely and effective resolution and feedback, aiming to enhance visitor satisfaction and the overall experience.

9. Privacy Policy

9.1     Data Collection and Use: Sami Angawi Architects collects personal information from visitors for the purposes of booking and managing tours, as well as facilitating communications. This information may include names, contact details, and any other data necessary for the provision of our services.

​

9.2    Data Protection: We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information obtained through our booking processes and communications. All personal data is stored securely and is accessed only by authorized personnel.

9.3    Disclosure of Information: Personal information will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law or the management of our services.
